As per previous lockdowns, (and we have had a few here in Melbourne now) I am sticking to the health advice provided by the Victorian Government with relation to COVID-19. This means there are some changes to my services over this coming week, until 11.59pm 3rd June.
LATEST UPDATE:
Victorian Government Announces Seven Days Lockdown
Chiropractors can continue to practice but are only permitted to see a patient who requires essential clinical care.
Acting Premier James Merlino said there are only five reasons people would be allowed to leave their homes:
- Food and supplies;
- Authorised work;
- Care and caregiving;
- Exercise for up to 2 hours with one other person;
- Getting vaccinated.
What does this mean to you and your chiropractic care with me?
Allied health professionals are able to provide “essential clinical care” where telehealth services are not clinically appropriate. As chiropractic care cannot be performed over telehealth I will remain open for those “essential” patients.
The Department of Health has clarified the difference between essential clinical care and routine care. At the moment routine care is not permitted, however, if this changes I will certainly contact you. If you are not sure if your visit will be going ahead, do not worry, I will contact you to determine which bracket you fall into. If you have not heard from me 24 hours before your visit please do not hesitate to call or text me on 0403 235 188.
Yours in Health,
Dr Anthea Holder
(Chiropractor and Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner)
